Safe and affordable treatment for depression. No insurance required.
Personalized consultation with a licensed doctor who can assess your individual needs.
Your first visit is a one-on-one conversation with a licensed clinician who takes the time to understand how depression is affecting your daily life. Together, you’ll discuss your symptoms, concerns, and treatment options.
If medication is part of your treatment plan, your clinician will explain the benefits, timeline, and any possible side effects in plain language. You’ll know what to expect before starting, and have support along the way.
No waiting rooms. No awkward encounters. From your visit to your treatment plan, your care stays private between you and your clinician. Connect from your phone, your couch, or wherever you feel comfortable.
Our clinicians take the time to understand what you’ve been experiencing, how long it’s been going on, what triggers it, what you’ve already tried, and build a plan around what actually works for you.
QuickMD clinicians do not prescribe the following anti-anxiety meds: Xanax, Valium, Ativan, and Klonopin; the following stimulants: Adderall, Ritalin, Concerta, and Vyvanse; or the following sleep meds: Ambien and Lunesta.
If depression has been making everything feel heavier, you don’t have to keep pushing through alone. Antidepressants have been shown in clinical studies to significantly reduce symptoms and are considered a first-line treatment for many people. They remain one of the most effective options available, and many people begin noticing improvements within the first few weeks of treatment.*
*A 2018 analysis of 522 clinical trials and more than 116,000 patients found that every antidepressant studied outperformed placebo in treating depression. See here: Cipriani et al., The Lancet
QuickMD treats major depressive disorder and seasonal affective disorder through online visits with licensed clinicians. If you’ve been feeling persistently low, empty, or unable to function the way you used to, regardless of how you’d describe it, the best first step is a visit. Your clinician will assess what you’re experiencing and determine the right diagnosis and treatment approach. If your situation requires a higher level of care, they’ll let you know.
QuickMD clinicians can prescribe a range of antidepressants depending on your symptoms, health history, and treatment goals. SSRIs such as sertraline, escitalopram, fluoxetine, and paroxetine are commonly prescribed first-line treatments for depression. SNRIs, including duloxetine and venlafaxine ER, are also available, as are other options like bupropion XL, mirtazapine, and trazodone for patients who need a different approach. Your clinician will recommend the medication most appropriate for your individual situation.
Antidepressants work by adjusting the levels of neurotransmitters in the brain, primarily serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine, that regulate mood, energy, and emotional resilience. SSRIs and SNRIs, the most commonly prescribed classes, help increase the availability of these chemicals so the brain can function more effectively. Most people begin to notice improvement within two to four weeks of starting treatment, with fuller effects typically developing over six to eight weeks. Medication affects everyone differently, which is why QuickMD clinicians monitor your response and adjust your treatment plan as needed.
